Booking & Reservations

How do I book a trip?

Most trips can be booked online through our website. Some private charters require a phone call. Contact us at (843) 249-3571 to discuss availability and pricing.

Do I need to book in advance?

Recommended, especially during peak season (May-September). Popular trips like Gulf Stream fishing, themed cruises, and holiday events sell out weeks in advance.

Can I book a private charter?

Yes, ½ day private charter for 6 or less passengers can be booked online. For all other charters, call us at (843) 249-3571 to discuss your group size, preferred trip type, and dates. Private charters are available for groups of up to 130 people.

What's your cancellation policy?

You have until 24 hours before your dolphin cruise to cancel for a refund, unless you get trip protection.

You have until 72 hours before your pay per person fishing trip to cancel for a refund, unless you get trip protection.

You have until 60 days before your private charter to cancel for a refund.

What is “Trip Protection”?

Trip protection will allow you to cancel certain activities (excluding private charters) up to 12 hours prior to your scheduled tour time. You will be reimbursed for the full amount of each ticket, minus the trip protection and processing fees. This policy does not apply to bookings made less than 24 hours in advance.

If this is not an option at the time of booking, then the trip is not eligible for it.

Fishing Licenses & Equipment

Do I need a fishing license?

No. You're covered under our commercial fishing license.

Do I need to bring my own fishing gear?

No. We provide rod, reel, bait, tackle, and ice. You just need to show up.

Can I bring my own rod and reel?

Yes, if you prefer. You can bring braided line but if it becomes an issue during the trip, we will ask you to switch to one of ours. Mono is preferred.

What is a towel and stringer?

You will need a towel and stringer if you plan on keeping fish to take home.

The towel keeps your hands clean while handling fish, and the stringer holds your fish and keeps them separated from other fish in the boat’s ice box.

What To Bring

What should I bring on a fishing trip?
  • Small personal cooler (for your snacks and drinks)
  • Sun protection
  • Valid ID
  • Motion sickness meds (if prone)
Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes. Small personal coolers are allowed on all boats. Some vessels also have snack bars onboard.

Can I bring alcohol?

Yes, you can bring beer or wine as long as they are not in a glass container.

WE DO NOT ALLOW HARD LIQUOR ON ANY TRIPS.

What To Expect

What should I wear?

Dress like you will be spending the day outside, layers and sun protection are always a good idea. Closed toed shoes are recommended.

What am I going to catch?

Depends on the trip type and season. On half-day trips, you'll catch a lot of fish, but due to federal regulations, you may have to throw some back. The further out you go (Gulf Stream, all-day trips), the more fish you can keep. For rules and current regulations download the Fish Rules app by Fishbrain. Call us to find out what's currently being caught: (843) 249-3571

Will you clean my fish?

Yes. Fish cleaning is a service we offer after all fishing trips. Pricing depends on how many and what kind of fish you get cleaned.

Where does the boat depart?

We have two departure locations:

  • Little River Landing: 1522 Watson Ave, Little River, SC 29566
  • Hurricane Fleet Marina: 9975 Nance St, Calabash, 28467

Your confirmation email will include the exact departure location and directions.

Is this family-friendly?

Yes. We love taking kids fishing. However, we don't recommend children 4 and under venture out on fishing trips for personal safety reasons. Ages 4+ are welcome, and our mates will help bait hooks and remove fish.

What if I get seasick?

We recommend taking seasickness medication the night before your trip and an hour before your trip leaves the dock. Bring motion sickness meds if you're prone to seasickness. If you have concerns about medication consult your doctor before taking.

What happens if sea conditions are unfavorable?

We monitor conditions closely and will only contact you if changes are necessary. Please opt in for SMS messages when booking, as text messages are the easiest way to notify you of trip changes.

Dolphins & Cruises

Are dolphin sightings guaranteed?

No. Dolphins are wild animals. Our captains position the boat where dolphins are most likely to be, but sightings are never guaranteed. If you do not see dolphins on your tour, you can call the office to reschedule for free within a week of your original trip.

What if it rains during a cruise?

All cruises run rain or shine. Our larger boats have enclosed, climate-controlled cabins. Light rain doesn't cancel trips. Unfavorable sea conditions may result in rescheduling, and we'll contact you if you trip has any changes.

Pricing & Payments

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Contact us for specific payment details when booking private charters.

Are there discounts for children?

Yes. Child pricing (typically ages 4-12) is available on most trips. Check individual trip pages for specific pricing.

Yes, the amount of people needed for group rates depends on the specific trip. Call us to discuss: (843) 249-3571.
