The Hurricane Fleet was one of the very first fishing fleets in North or South Carolina. In the 1940’s, Frank and Mary Juel, the original owners of the Hurricane Restaurant decided they needed a fishing boat to serve the restaurant customers. So, Frank traveled north and brought back an 81 foot Navy PT boat to serve as one of the first charter vessel.
The Hurricane Fleet is one of the most modern on the Atlantic Coast. We offer fishing charters in both North and South Carolina. From the air conditioned luxury of our large Myrtle Beach charter fishing boats to the real fishing atmosphere of our sport fishing boats, all are skippered by experienced captain and crews who welcome you as guest.
The finest in modern electronics for navigation, fish finding and safety have been installed to make your Myrtle Beach deep sea fishing trip both pleasant and safe. Our fleet will provide the angler with rod, reel, bait, tackle and fishing instructions if needed.
Fishermen with Distinction
Experience and enthusiasm… that is what makes us special. Besides having the most modern fishing gear, we use the best bait and tackle to help keep “the big one” from getting away.
We change our line and tackle often and that makes a difference! Also, having a fleet of boats allows our crew to use team effort to keep up with where the fish are running. Our coded radio transmissions between our boats keep our captains informed. With 2 Head Boats and 7 Charter vessels, we are able to drop line in multiple locations to find the best source of fish that day, and then communicate that information to our fleet.

The Original Dolphin Adventure Cruise
The Hurricane Fishing Fleet was the first along the Grand Strand to offer Dolphin Cruises out into the Atlantic Ocean. With our own working shrimp boat, we bounced the idea around before finally launching in the early 90’s. The question was, would people like a nice, short cruise out to our shrimper? They’d be able to see dolphins, and learn about the ocean. The answer was a resounding YES! This has become one of more popular options and we’ve added an onboard naturalist who will empty a barrel of critters from the sea, right on the deck, for the whole family to get close to. It’s an interactive immersion like no other.
